An assortment of various crystal displayed on the sand.

According to ancient Hindu teachings our bodies consist of seven chakras. These seven chakras are used for healing our inner child and balancing our energy centers. Our chakras can become imbalanced due to stress, anxiety, negative energy, lifestyle choices, and negative environments.

Some people believe chakra imbalances can harm our physical and emotional health or well-being. Unbalanced chakras are known to cause back pain, heart complications, depression, isolation, creative blockages, throat issues and much more.

Indian spiritual leaders have used chakras healing crystals for energy alignment for centuries. Within this article readers will learn about the seven chakras and the benefits of chakras healing crystals as well as my personal experience with chakras healing crystals.

My Experience With Chakra Healing Crystals

lack Crystal display case with moon and floral patterns. A variety of healing crystals are within each shelf.

I began studying healing crystals and the seven chakras during the COVID-19 pandemic.  At first it was two-weeks off from school, then it turned into months off. During this time, I was a senior in high-school, I felt confused and angry towards the world because my senior year had to end early.

I didn’t get to experience my senior trip, attend senior prom, and most importantly walk at my own high school graduation. This caused me to have a lot of resentment and anger.

I pursued meditation in April 2020, to help deal with my anxiety and depression. Shortly after, I discovered chakras healing crystals. I started researching the seven chakras and healing crystals associated with them. Most importantly, I wanted to achieve the benefits of healing myself.

I started my own chakras healing crystal collection. The first crystal I purchased was the rose quartz. The rose quartz is known to help people give and receive love. Since my first purchase, my crystal collection has grown.

Now, I have at least 40 chakras healing crystals in my collection that I use to rebalance my chakras.

Using chakras healing crystals has significantly enhanced my spiritual journey and emotional well-being. My chakras healing crystal collection has impacted my physical and mental health in a positive way. I have noticed a significant improvement in my mental health since incorporating crystals in my daily routine.

In 2021 I was diagnosed with General Anxiety Disorder. Now, I use my chakras healing crystals to regulate my nervous system. Since using my chakra healing crystals, my anxiety has decreased, and my nervous system is more at ease.

How to Choose the Right Crystal for Your Chakra Needs

 Intuitive Selection vs Research Guidance

Personally, I found when choosing the right chakras healing crystal, it is important to trust your own judgement on which crystal will benefit you and your healing journey. My advice is to do research on the chakras that you are looking to heal and re-balance and to research the suggested crystals to heal the specific chakra in need.

I did most of my chakra healing crystal research on “Tik Tok”. I would search up chakra healing crystals, and I started to watch content creators that filmed videos educating viewers about the different types of chakra healing crystals.

I recommend following “Manifest With Gabby” and “Chi’s Aura Crystals” on Tik Tok. I also researched chakra healing crystals on the website, Healing Crystals Co. The website, Healing Crystals Co., gives you in depth descriptions of a variety of crystals and instructions on how to use them as well.

I have learned about the seven chakras through my friends in high school as well. Many of my friends I met through drama club, have collected chakra healing crystals and had knowledge about healing the seven chakras.

In my experience, when deciding between a set of healing crystals for my chakras I decided to choose the crystal I felt drawn to the most. I choose the crystal that radiates positive energy. The question you want to ask yourself is which healing crystal stands out to me the most?

I recommend buying chakra healing crystals in person rather than shopping online. I believe that is easier to connect with the chakra healing crystals when you are in person browsing because, you can hold the healing crystal and feel the energy. When you hold the chakra healing crystal, your intuition will tell you if this crystal will help heal your inner self.

You can purchase chakra healing crystals in person at local crystal pop-up shops that occur at festivals or in chain retail stores, such as East Meets West. My favorite place to purchase chakra healing crystals is at East Meets West because the store has a variety of options of shapes and sizes of chakra healing crystals.

The chakra healing crystals vary from small stones to larger crystals and is reasonably priced.

Shopping online for chakra healing crystals will not give you the opportunity to feel the energy of the crystal. This makes it difficult to pick the best crystal since you are just looking at the visual chakra healing crystal. It is difficult to have options of crystals online and the quality of the chakra healing crystal is not the same as the crystals sold in person.

Crystals for Overactive vs Underactive Chakras

Crystals for overactive chakras and underactive chakras

Another way to decide which chakras healing crystal is a fit for you is to identify if you have an overactive or an underactive chakra.  Reflect on your thoughts, emotions, and behavior patterns.

Patterns that fall into the overactive chakra category are heightened anxiety, frequent pain, having a difficult time regulating emotions, anger, and having difficulty focusing on tasks.

Signs that you have underactive chakras are lack of motivation, no interest in creativity, frequent fatigue, and low self-esteem.

Choosing Healing Crystals for Chakras Based on Intention

When choosing a chakra healing crystal for your healing journey, it is essential to know your intention.  A question to ask yourself is; what chakra do I want to heal, and what is my intention of healing this, chakra?  If you are struggling to identify your intention for your healing journey, a few examples are self-love, clarity, and emotional healing.

Once you have identified your intention, it is time to choose a crystal that is designed for your intention.

A few questions to consider when choosing the best chakra healing crystal:

  1. Does the energy of this chakra healing crystal feel positive for me?
  2. What aspect of my life do I want to improve?
  3. What aspect of my life do I need spiritual guidance in ?
  4. Do I want to heal a specific chakra?

Using Pendulums or Muscle Testing to Pick Your Stone

If you are having difficulty choosing a crystal that will benefit your healing journey, a good option is to use a pendulum to pick the best crystal for your healing needs. A healing pendulum is used to activate the energy within a chakra healing crystal.

Healing pendulums have a chakra healing crystal attached at the bottom and cleanses energy and promotes healing.

Healing Pendulums can be found at pop-up crystal shops, local crystal shops, or any chain crystal location, such as East Meets West. I buy most of my chakra healing crystals and I have bought a healing pendulum at East Meets West in my local mall.

East Meets West is a crystal store that is located in many of the malls within the United States.

Another suggestion is to try muscle testing to pick a healing crystal that will best suit your intentions.

Muscle testing requires to place a crystal on different parts of the body including an arm, leg, or back and to see if that muscle area feels relaxed when the healing crystal is placed on top of it.

It is essential to have good energy hygiene for your healing crystals for them to work properly.  Some important tips are to keep crystals healing and remain in good energy hygiene including cleansing, charging, and storing your crystals in a safe space.

Best Storing Practices for Preserving Energy

The best storing practices for preserving energy for healing crystals are to keep crystals away from water, store crystals in soft pouches, and to keep crystals in a clean space.

Reiki and Healing Crystal Stones

Reiki is a healing method that was created in Japan to promote stress relief and inner healing for an individual. Reiki is healing energy that is transferred from the Reiki Master’s hand movements and energy.

Chakra healing crystals and Reiki can be used together to heal our inner child and to regulate the nervous system. Using Reiki and Chakra healing crystals at the same time can amplify the healing energy to the individual at a faster rate.

Ways to Use Chakra Healing Crystals and Reiki Together:

  1. Use crystals that target your healing intention and can identify which chakras need healing, then perform reiki on the targeted areas. It is recommended to place the healing crystal on a specific chakra while reiki is performed.

2. I recommend using healing crystals to assist in improving the energetic flow into the chakras to have in depth healing.

3. I recommend using the healing crystal that is aligned with your healing intention, and to hold the stone while performing reiki

Final Thoughts

It is essential to use healing crystals for rebalancing your chakras with clear intentions.  The crystals work effectively when staying true to your intention for your healing journey.  Inner work and energy healing are crucial steps in the chakra healing process.

Crystals are a great aid in the healing process but working on yourself and practicing healthy habits will help you successfully rebalance your chakras.

Inner work is healing our mindset, nervous system, and conscious. Practicing inner work allows an individual to be connected to their higher self, have a regulated nervous system, and personal growth. Along with practicing inner work, it is important to have healthy habits as well. Some healthy habits I practice alongside with doing inner work are meditating with my crystals, going on walks, and drinking plenty of water.

There are a variety of healthy habits that an individual can practice in their everyday routines while doing inner work. A few suggestions of healthy habits to practice are going on walks, eating fruits and vegetables, drinking sixty ounces of water, and getting 8 hours of sleep.

I recommend writing positive affirmations in the morning to promote inner healing, this has helped me throughout my healing journey.
